It’s a guarantee

Already this moment has changed

The bird song, the toad croak, gone.

The last little bits of water drip, vacating the leaf it landed upon

The moment of moisture disappears

Soon the heat of the day will suck up what’s left

The years behind me are like that water drop

Falling into the well of my life drop by drop, climbing the well of my existence

Each moment, each day marking itself in the pool

Clear water, muddy water, blood and sweat

A witches brew of my life thus lived

It is beautiful to watch the dancing images upon the glass like surface

A movie screen of past moments

Today I shall drip more into my well of life, adding to the blend

The day will come when the drops will stop

Then the cycle shall complete itself with the evaporation of my life well

Gone forever

Impermanence…

It is a truth

A given

A definition of life…
